 Liz arranges network activities like bi-monthly Network Meetings, workshops and training for LATAN members, facilitates the LATAN Committee, as well as working on developments to the way the Network is funded, managed and resourced.

With nearly 30 years of experience of working in the voluntary sector in Liverpool and surrounding areas, Liz is passionate about partnership and collaborative working, sharing skills, knowledge and learning, and the right to free legal advice.

Martin chairs the LATAN Committee which oversees the network and helps to coordinate its activities and development. 

 

Martin worked in Local Government for over 30 years, including senior roles at Liverpool City Council.  At Liverpool Council, Martin played a leading role in developing the Council's approach to welfare reform, poverty and benefit services including establishing the Liverpool Citizens Support Scheme and the Benefits Maximisation Service.

 

Martin says ' During my time in local government I was acutely aware of the role of free, independent quality advice in supporting and protecting residents. It's now my privilege to work alongside advice providers and community gateways'.
